Steel Wool

For this work, I hammered steel wool into a material that resembles cloth or skin. The material is shaped, fatigued, compressed and thinned. Brittle areas split. Pieces flake away. Its creation inherently involves destruction. What remains is then draped over a steel mount, which gives the piece its form.
